Sink-cited

I must be getting old when I'm completely excited about a new SINK!!! Last week Steve (mike's dad) and Mike tiled the new breakfast bar and counter to the left of the stove. Before we could start the counter on the right of the stove we would have to wait 8-10 days for our new sink to be shipped to the store for in store pick-up.
Mike and I went by Lowes this past Saturday morning (6 days later) to pick-up a few things and decided to see if the sink was in and we were in LUCK, it was ready. So, we picked it up, got some lunch, then went home and got right to work. It felt wonderful to demolish and to rip out the old sink and nasty off white bubbled laminate counters. Then we installed the ply wood and backerboard. I was sure that we were going to break the wood or the backerboard moving them from outside to the counter. We had to cut the hole for the sink so the edges were only 1 inch thick on either side. Once we got them all measured and screwed down we installed the new black granite tiles. AND then the NEW stainless steel sink, and faucet.
